What is Osteopathy?

The NHS definition is that, "osteopathy is a way of detecting, treating and preventing health problems by moving, stretching and massaging a person's muscles and joints."

Osteopaths, like chiropractors, can also manipulate the skeleton to reset joints that have become ‘subluxed’ (partially dislocated from their optimal functional position) whether in the spine or anywhere else in the body.

This is always done after full consultation with the consent of the patient and, if the patient prefers, an osteopath can instead utilise a variety of more subtle techniques to achieve improved skeletal alignment and a return to a fuller range of motion and function.

Poor prognosis rheumatoid arthritis
Poor prognosis rheumatoid arthritis

“I suffer from poor prognosis rheumatoid arthritis. Sam has spent the past two years supporting me and helping to ease my pains. He is so knowledgeable about my condition. His many ways of tackling pain include acupuncture, massage, stretches, manipulations and groovy machines to reach the spots he can’t.

I’ve also recommended him to everyone that has any issues and they all love him too!
HE IS THE BEST!”

Combi of all
Osteopathy, Sports Massage & Acupuncture Combi

“Sam's mix of massage, osteopathy, bone manipulation and acupuncture is effective. He's a very personable, steady, competent practitioner and did me more good in one session than multiple visits to doctors, osteopaths, physiotherapists and chiropractors.
I have no hesitation in recommending him. ”

Clear Understanding Of Injury & Prognosis

“I came across Samuel by chance and have just had an appointment with him. He was very
accommodating at short notice regards the appointment and the session itself was excellent. Clearly knows what he is talking about, gave me clear details of my injury and prognosis and ways in which to deal with it.
Would not hesitate to recommend.”

Puts You At Ease & Fixes You!

“Sam is absolutely brilliant, so knowledgeable, puts you at ease.. and fixes you! I’d struggled with
tendonitis for months, unable to run without pain. One session with Sam and I ran a marathon a week later, pain free. I would recommend him to everyone.”

Why combine treatments?

Sam Jones has over twenty years of experience of musculoskeletal rehabilitation including Sports Massage and Acupuncturewith a science-based insight, which he uses to devise a relevant and effective treatment … at no extra cost!

"Whether you come for your first treatment, or you are a regular, I will always assess the presenting ailment and look for the most appropriate solution. Sometimes, for example, acupuncture could enhance the results of an osteopathic treatment - in which case it would be remiss of me to not offer it to you.”
